The listing says 84-96 but there are 3 different versions based on the location of the front mounting holes. I don't really understand the smoke color on the outside and blue on the inside. If it's suppose to be blue tinted, it should show some blue color on the outside. Also, some Corvette tops were bronze smoked (like my 87!)

There have been threads here about poor quality from Astro Tops so if they are the supplier for them, you might want to ask some questions. $500 seems cheap for a replacement top.

There are three different front mounting brackets: 84 - E86, L86 - 88, 89 - 96, but the tops are all the same size.

Most people would go with Melrose.

Got my blue tint (looks black from outside) acrylic top for my '89 coupe from Melrose. It was expensive bit seems to be well made. Follow their directions to install it. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to adjust the front mounting brackets.

Here's the method I used to adjust the brackets on a new fiberglass top I bought without removing the windshield header:

1. Loosen the bolts that hold the mounting brackets but don't remove them.
2. Take two long pieces (about 1') of wide (at least 1 1/2") masking tape and tape them to the mounting brackets so they will be perpendicular to the top windshield frame when the top is on the car.
3. Put the top on the car and fasten the rear bolts as you normally would but don't tighten them all the way.
4. Adjust the top so it fits in the front.
5. Once you're satisfied with the fit of the front use the masking tape to move the brackets around until the front mounting bolt can be inserted.
6. Now secure the brackets by pressing the masking tape to the headliner and the outside of the top.
7. Carefully remove the front and rear mounting bolts, take off the top and tighten the bolts that hold the mounting bracket.

How can I post this as a tech tip?

As stated above go with the Melrose top. You get what you pay for.

Default Glass top

I have a new glass top and can't find out which year it fits. Tried a 84 and a 86 and a 89 the holes in the front measure 31 1/2 inches. Any help finding out what it fits would help Thanks
