Targa top

I have a '96 coupe. The targa top has become dull with age. Anyone got any tricks on how to restore it? Can some of the haze be polished out with a good auto polish such as Menzerna? Or is there a product just for this?

Glass I guess, although it looks more like acrylic. It's smoked.

I know they make polishes for headlight lense covers and such. I was wondering if something like that might work.

Also interested in buffing or polishing the glass tops. I think somebody tried to do this to mine before i bought it, there is a shiny silvery coatign on it, that has been buffed off on the left and right sides above the doors. It actually looks terrible and is the bane of my almost showroom quality exterior.
