I have both and love the clear. On a black car it looks bitchin :yesnod: While parked stay out of direct sun as you will be hating life till you're medium rare. :nonod:

I like the clear top, it looks good on my black vette, sometimes people can't tell its clear. I don't mind the heat much, though the spider webbing affect does suck.

I HAVE BOTH TOPS. I ONLY USE THE SOLID WHEN I'M HEADED SOUTH ON A TRIP AND I KNOW THE CARS GOING TO BE PARKED OUYSIDE IN THE SUN FOR A FEW DAYS. I LIKE THE SMOKED TOP ON A WHITE CAR. :D

I have both tops, and love the glass one. I think the glass top on the yellow car makes it a little more aggressive looking.

I bought my first Vette 9/13 with the blue tinted plastic top. It didn't take me long to figure out that it let too much sun and heat in during the day, even though it wasn't that hot out. I ordered the perforated vinly top liner (they make a solid liner too), and am really happy with it. Easy to install - or remove. Temp problem resolved.
My LT4 is silver. I saw another just recently with the silver solid top. In my opinion, this resolved my question as to what top I would get should I ever need to replace my tinted top. I will definitely stick with the tinted.
As you can see, some agree - some don't. Point is, do what you feel is best and know that no matter what, Vettes rule regardless of top color or material! :yesnod: :cheers: ;) :seeya

Mine is clear-- I like it. Its somthing unique that no other car has. It was terribly hot in the summer to where the car would not cool down. Bought the poriferated static cling thing-- 100% improvement-- not near as hot in the car.

I have the blue tint top and will be replacing it with another one soon. Can't afford the head room. I'll be getting the static cling thing as well. ;)
