My C6 was Black and I loved it but washing/detailing at least 3 times a week was the norm. Once on a trip to the Mid west I ran into weather through AZ and washed it 3x in one day along the way. I hated to see it/drive it dirty.

Whites not a whole lot better about staying clean looking, just easier to wash and not worry about swirls & streaking.

I might be tempted to do that ; but so far as much as I sand I can't get down to the metal?:o

Anyone know where I can get a good used "flux capacitor" to go along with the new paint job?

Might I suggest Steel Blue? I think that is one of the coolest C4 colors and would look great on your car...

Someone posted this picture awhile back, I don't recall who...

That's definitely a blue I could live with. My older bro has a Turquoise Metallic '91 that looks sharp as well.

Photochoppers?
As a fan of and (in the early stages of) builder of a traditional hot rod, I'd ask you to please not equate every flat or semi-flat finished hot rod with the currently popular rat rod look. They are not the same thing. That being said, this could possibly be pulled off with a C4, although the wide-whites might be a bit much.

That site is a work of art. It is wild to see all the different custom colors applied that you may never see or have seen in the past on a model of car.

Glossy seems to be the better choice at this time, colors. Several of the commments from people who have seen the car painted flat black primer is that it resembles a jet somehow. I'm not sure what that corelation is but it's funny I have heard it several times from different people.

I like yellow and think it looks great on a Vette but generally is too bright for my own taste in cars. I don't know how a persons eyes see color but some yellows seem harsh to the point it almost hurts.

One color I have always liked was Canary Yellow. Yellow but not harsh.

The sad thing for me is that NO matter how I look at it it always seems to come back to RED!

Like the world needs another red corvette, but it is the color that seems to get the most emotional and positive reaction from me personally. They just look friking beautiful in a nice shade of red.

Their are many reds so there are a lot of possibilities. Now I need to decide which Red is the way to go or maybe some other year red that was offered on Corvettes '05 Victory Red is one that comes to mind as a dynamic color.

Then if I go Red I am not sure the Gray interior would look right. It seems it should be Tan/Camel or something.

This might be better with Gray-

Hardly Red though.

Nice Red-

Is your interior blue? If it is then go for the blue/blue combo (that is my favorite). I would suggest going with the new 2008 C6 color Jetstream Blue Metallic Tintcoat. That color and an aftermarket pair of wheels would really make your car look hot.

That is sweet, I could see that being an excellent choice. Not harsh at all.

The interior would not look too bad with that, and I like those wheels too. I don't think it would look gross with the steel blue either.

Thanks for your efforts, much appreciation.

I had nice shiny black C4 once. It looked so awesome when it was fully detailed, but as soon as I opened the garage door it was dirty. I hated that. Quasar blue and the medium blue on my 88 are great color choices. I've always wondered what orange would look like on a C4. Anything in a gloss is fine, but a C4 in flat paint will always look unfinished.

Admiral blue and copper are both colors that really stand out on a C4
