A Paint Choice Test
Which color to paint this car needs to be decided but I have this idea I want to finish it off with a Matte Black seal coat. But being a big decision I needed to test first to see peoples reactions to a fully flat car so I decided to paint it with black primer and drive it for a week or 2 as the final decision is made. This was day 1.
It will also give me a good model to use on the computer to try different paint effects, flames, panels, scallops etc. on the final.
So far I gotta say I really like the no shine look. With some quality pin-stripping for the details might be where I'm leaning.

If you insist on going this route, lower the car, put on some red-painted steel wheels w/chrome baby moons, whitewall tires, red pinstriping. It would be unique, that's for sure.
Photochoppers?

give that a go, chose 1989/chevrolet/corvette and u can try different paint colours out
I just can't see a dull color paint on a vette. It doesn't give it the prestige that it deserves. I've seen older model Studes and what not with the flat black paint and they pull it off, but not a Vette.

Thanks for posting that link

Also most of you don't know but I bought this C4 1-2 months ago and the Charchol Grey Paint was totally gone. So it's going to be painted one way or another.
This is only an a test bed, like I said I will be using the pictures I take to use in Photoshop to make final finishing decisions- color & detail wise.
The "Flat look is only one option. I like the steel wheels painted red to match the pinstriped flames that may happen, along with the baby moons.
Color choices for a regular glossy paint job are:
1.) Black
2.) 1973 Corvette Orange(I don't remember the proper name).
3.) Dark Green Metallic as on the 1968 Vettes.
4.) Victory Red
The Rat Rod idea is one that I like, but as I said, I am taking my time so I don't regret my choice.
Bottom line is I can't stand driving my DD when the Vette is available. So for the next couple of weeks it will be primer black.
I only wish I could find the wheels I like(clear-coat on these is toast). None of them seem to have a fitment for the C4. I would like to get some American Racing 5-spokes but no luck so far.

that the best way I can put it.But it does look great when its clean and sharp.
