If the oil and coolant temperatures are below 32 degrees, the trip monitor will display LO when the actual gage temperature is displayed.
So yes it's below 32 here and I saw the LO in the display and I tried to crank the car and she wouldn't turn over. The lights worked and checked all possibilities that I know of and it looked good so I figured I'd try to give her a boost. Hooked up the booster cables to the other car and before raising the hood on the Vette I tried one more time and what do you know she cranked. I recently installed a new battery and alternator but I swear this car has a mind of it's on. I can't find much info on LO. Could this be related since this has happened before last year when it was ice cold outside?

Is this what you are asking?
The "LO" on the readout simply means that the oil temp is below freezing. It will not prevent the engine from starting. The fact that it won't turn over means a problem somewhere within the cranking system. The possibilities are endless here but shouldn't be hard to pin down with a methodical approach.
The oil temp gauge on my '88 reads LO till 150° which takes running a few mins to get that high. The coolant reads LO till 100° IIRC. From what I remember a gauge is made to read a narrow range of data so that it is more accurate.
My aftermarket trans temp gauge reads LO till 70° and on days that it is warmer then that. is a good gauge for outside air temp.

That's what I was thinking too. Will the car start up 10 minutes after having the initial problem? If so, could be the vats. Try a different key. The pellet on your key might be worn out. That's what I went through. Then I purchased a new key, and never had the problem again....
