It's a Black and Decker. I saw this at Wal-Mart tonight and had never seen it before while buying a new battery because the cold weather killed my other one. So what is it? So instead of using jumper cables, you plug this into the cigarette lighter and wait a few minutes and then try to crank your car? If so, does it work good. Trying to find some presents for myself.

I went with a Wally world battery after mine died. It's been almost a year and I've had no problems. Wally gets theirs from Exide or Johnson Controls, which is the same people making the battery for the big names.
Anyhoo, I'd go for the second choice just to have something around in case of emergency.
I found a site last night that had several mixed reviews. Some people gave it a 5 star while others gave it a 1 for not being able to crank their car. But some people said that while they were in a down pour and had left the map light on they hooked up that gadget in the cigarette lighter and waited for about 10 minutes and the car fired right up. So in other words you'll still need a good set of jumper cables.
I have one I bought at Home Depot for lot less than that on ebay. I have used it once already, so now it payed for itself. Yes you plug it into you lighter, and throw a switch, on the unit. When it beeps you can try to start your car in short bursts. You have to have everything turn-off in the car, and the drawl back is the wait can be up to fifteen minutes while you sit quietly in the car. Does it work, yes!
If you your battery is dead these small units will not get the job done. I had a Vector with the compressor and built in light. The compressor quit so I took it apart to see what I could do. It had a 19 Amp Hour battery in there. This is about the size that my 800 Can-Am has. Later! Frank
