Gentlemen: Here in Texas, we get little snow, but freezing
rain, sleet, and ICE are the hat trick for the winter months.
My question is: Do I cover my headlamps when my car is sitting
outside at work? And if so, with what? Do I spray de-icer on
the pods?
I really don't want to chip away at them with an ice scraper! What
would ya'll (Texan for yunz, or all of you) recommend?
Hasn't happened to me either. I take it that you are afraid of getting hit with ice while at work or something and not being able to turn them on to get home. I've been able to break pesky ice with a back knuckle to the offending area. Just need to crack it and it will peal off. The really nasty stuff is the snow rain freeze stuff. De-icer is ok I guess but I hate getting anything on my paint. Try warming it up first and see if that solves it. I really only had problems with doors, locks, and wipers freezing in the past.
