Default RPO CODES

After looking up my RPO codes, I find that my 95LT1 has both a rear axel ratio of 3.07 (G44), and a rear performance ratio axel (G92). The car has a automatic transmission. What benifits do these give me ? top side speed, standing starts, ect ? I'm learnimg :yesnod:

The G92 indicates a non stock (high performance) ratio and the G44 indicates the specific ratio installed in your car. IE: I have G92 and GU2, which is 2:73 in my car.
Many people believe that 3:07 is the perfect ratio for the older L98 cars. One of our members actually slowed down in the 1/4 mile when he went to 3:45.
The L98 is a torque motor. Your car being an LT1 or LT4 is more of a high winding motor and would benefit from more gear (higher ratio).
IMHO unless you are going racing, you have the most desirable ratio for street use in an automatic car.

There are no stupid questions, only stupid people that don't ask them when they should.

We are all learning here and you will find alot of people that are happy to help.
Good luck,
