Doesn't make any sense, does it? You definitely have a grounding problem. Your FSM Electrical Manual explains that most switches, switch to ground. Just the opposite than your house.
Silly question have you checked the bulbs? I thought the doors and mirror orange light and white light was the same bulb but I found out mine were just blown....

all the bulbs are good,I am not getting any power to these lights. What I need to know is where the power comes from to the red accent lights?

On our 94 coupe, when the headlight/parking light switch is turned to the parking light position, the door and mirror soft orange lights come on. Interestingly, when the door is opened, those lights go out.
So, looking quickly at the FSM schematics, I would suggest checking your door switches and the ambient light sensor.
To test the door switches, with door closed, simply turn key on, turn on radio, turn off key, and then open door, does the radio go off?
To test the ambient light switch, refer to FSM page 8A-114-10 (i.e. put ccm into diagnostic mode and review parmater 3's readings).
your dimmer switch is bad. it is ac delco part #d1509b. to the left of steering collum under dash. looks like a silver heat sink. also call incandesent power driver

I checked more today and ran a jumper wire to the red lights on the headlight switch and they came on(gray/black&purple/white on the fog light part of the switch),I could not find any power running to these wires, I will use multimeter today and find why the power is not getting to them.I will post what I find!

I have a 1992 LT1 with an interior light problem also! The lights work fine when turned on by the dimmer switch, but they do not come on when the doors are opened. Is my problem with delco part #d1509b also?
