Default Seat frame differences?

I absolutely hate the sport seats in my 92. Everything works and they are in good shape -ie pass seat almost like new drivers seat has small wear on the "ribcage bolster" and the lower out side "leg" bolster is leather wise fine but the foam is broken down flat almost). They just don't fit me and they should as I'm tall and thin (6.0' 185lbs).

Who has ever taken the 94 up seats and actually placed them right next to the say the 93 down style seats?

Are the seat frames the same? I know they are the "will bolt to the floor board same" but what about the bucket where you attach the foam and covers.

Could one take say a 92 year model seat assembly, pull the seat cushions out, buy new 94 style leather on foam from AL Knoch and put the 94 up cushions in the 92 seats?

If I'm gonna spend $850 to re do the seats I'd like to try the later model ones. I'm not going to buy aftermarket (no offense but no rice in my ride) and if this won't work I'll just recover with the stock 92 style foam and leather covers, be happy it looks brand new and live with the uncomfortable (for 2 more years when I get re cover the drivers seat again).
thanks
Will

I'm not sure if this is a deal buster or not but my wife's '92 has plastic back panels on the seat where as my '94 has leather everywhere. Her seats are leather but not sport mine are sport. Hope this helps.

You could always take your passenger seat down to the metal and let a trim shop make you padding and covers. If you like it, let them do the other one.

Thanks
I have noticed that on the 94 up sport seats. Was wondering whats hiding behind the leather back.

I would prefer the Standard 94 up seat cusions and leather for mine. Anyone know if they are the same?

They both have frames, unlike our older seats. The '94 to '96 sport frames are different from the regular seats also.
