1994 Emblems

From the factory, are the hood and gas door emblems on a 94 plastic or metal?

The original ones I have seen are metal. My old 91, 86, and 95 are metal.

My rear one was chromed plastic; I doubt if anyone replaced it before I had to, so I presume it was factory original. I also presume the front is the same.

I just removed the emblems on my 92 and they are metal.

The late replacements are plastic-original metal

If your car is the polo green one in your avatar, someone changed them. Only special edition cars came with chrome emblems.

Factory emblems for 92 are metal,but factory replacments are plastic.I just replaced my front and rear emblems.I'm real tight with my money and i shopped around a lot and my local GM Dealer had the best price.

I have a 94 Polo Green and found both emblems on EBay for $25 each.

The ones I look off my car were plastic and looked VERY old. They looked like what came on the car-cracked, extremely faded.

my 94 coupe is an early car and the emblems I took off which I would guess were original were plastic. I replaced them with a set of take off 93 emblems that was taken of in 93 off 40th car that were plastic
