Interior mods.....

Swapped out the black carpet and trim for red throughout, red steering wheel cover, pedals, dual gauge pod with shift light, short throw shifter, red leather shift boot, flameball ****, 5 point harness...

Recovered and embroidered console cover...

Recovered the door compartments in red leather...

Cross bar covered in red foam...

I like red. Want to get the headliner and visors recovered eventually.

That kit was made by a forum member, Vrum Vrum. Send him a message and ask if he is still making them. He owns a machine shop, and makes them on a CNC machine, so they are not cheap. They come in black w/ the inside of the letters in polished alum, I painted mine to match the bezel and console.

I only changed the stereos in both of my vettes and removed the visors in my 84, and the 85 has thebread loaf or impact resistor removed and has a glove box behind the flat panel. Having a tuff time finding stuff to change, I think GM got it right with corvette interiors, I seen most people just change the color or add wood or carbon fiber.

I particularly like the sun visors removed, looks really good with the targa removed. Besides my 84s visors would not stay up, just saggy.

Carbon fiber, the stick on kind.
The screen folds out. It's a touch screen and allows control of everything it does, plays all CD's, all DVD's, GPS and video in/out. Hands down, the coolest head unit I have ever owned.
Where the hell do you live, sounds like your just down the street.

Trans temp, an oil pressure gauge is going in next to it shortly. Pretty cool they reflect onto the windshield when I run track video. I can review and be sure my oil pressure is safe on long sweepers.

I don't favor pillar pods.

Does duct tape count? J/K...this is what my interior looks like now...waiting on all the parts to come in to start the change. Going from blue to black & red.
