Just received 40th Ruby build sheet from the NCM. If you purchase from them, make sure that you have send it laminated. I also purchased the window sticker. Each time that I have sold one of my corvettes, it has been a big plus to have this information to pass on to the new owner.
Whatever you pay for them will be returned in spades !!!
hi, i was able to recover mine from my 1995 from on top of the gas tank by loosening the right tank strap and reaching through the tag space after removing the tag. it was in good shape but not perfect. see ya
It's a low mileage (16,500mi) car and I plan on showing it and it's nice to have along with the window sticker that came with car.
It is nice to have the original build sheet and getting it from the frame rail is the only way to go. It took me five hours using a needle nose plyers and some dental tools but it was worth it. The one from the museum is a photo copy and not the real thing if originality is your goal and I would not try to retrieve it from the tank since you have to loosen the straps There might be a thread on the 40th registry site on how to remove it from the rail under the power steering reservoir since that is how I got mine.
Good luck,
Mark

I found the build sheet in the frame as you mentioned. It took about 2 hours and hard to get it out in one piece, got it out in five pieces and able to tape together. Looks pretty good. Just wondering if you were able to get yours in one piece. Thanks for the info.

I got the main sheet out with two or three small portions that I pieced together. After that I had whole thing laminated @ Kinkos and keep it on display in my car room. During shows I use the copy that you can get @ the museum since the sun can really due damage to the original. I remember the feeling of accomplishment getting the original out from the frame rail although the wife thought I was Further, I still have the build sheet intact sitting on the tank. Great job and post some pic's. You should feel proud of retrieving the original birth certificate of your Ruby after sitting in the frame for over 15 years.

Mine was in the same place. But not in good shape. ( 1993 )
It may be a broadcast sheet however, what I pulled out of the frame is identical to the “build sheet “ the museum sold me.
The difference is it is not a copy. It actually came out of the car. After it was dried out and ironed flat it looks great.

I'm trying to post some pics and can't seem to figure it out. Any idea
I just got mine in the mail yesterday. I was told that what the Corvette museum is sending us is NOT a copy but a hand typed blank look a like invoice. Same with the build sheet.I also noticed options differ in price from the Corvette black book. Z51 option is listed at $600.00 in the Corvette black book but the invoice says $51.00. This little bundle cost me $80.00. Anyone have opinions?
