Default C4 Vs. Cts-v

Stock for stock who do you think will win in a 1/4 mile. Of course 6-speed for both. Also what about a LT4 as well.

I rode in an '05 CTS-V with an intake, exhaust, and chip. That thing was a hoot! It would easily keep up with my ZR-1. We took it up to 160mph without any fuss. I think anything less than a ZR-1 would be toast.

With 400hp and about 3,750 lbs, you'd need ~350hp from a 3,300 lbs C4 to have the same power/weight. I think they tend to launch poorly though as they have narrow rear tires and a tendancy to wheel hop. I imagine the longer you race, the more edge the V would have.

Your question of stock 6-speed though could be an L98, LT1, LT4, or LT5 in a C4. I suspect the results will vary a fair bit depending on which stock mill is under your hood.

How many miles are on your car. I have a 93 and it has 142000 miles on it now and does pretty well.

For most C4's I'd have to give it to the CTS-V stock for stock. ZR-1s and maybe grand sports might be able to match up.

It is a quick car, biggest problem would be traction I'd think.

ZR-1 should smoke a cts-v. LT4 ought to beat a cts-v also since i can.But i guess everything just depends on car and most off the driver.

What times are avg for a Cts-V? Most Zr1s on average run low-mid 13's, they arent all that great in the 1/4

I've seen them run between a 13.3 and a 13.7 at the track bone stock.

Sounds like a dead heat.....Heckthe CTS I bet has torque management too. If the Z started spinning its gonna get spanked. Techonology marches on.

Those are sorry drivers, for 13's in ZR-1 that is why those people shouldn't have them.

Post your slips... 13's is about right for a ZR-1 depending on year I seem to remember 13.4 being the test time in most of the major publications in 1990.. I personally haven't seen a stock ZR-1 running 12's..

I ran 13.5 @102MPH not launching going off 1,000 RPM's, back to back runs no cool down time Bone stock in houston weather!

P.S. not trying to be a jerk but i just think its sad the driver's cant hit the 12's when they are well cabable of it!

fast Zr-1 corvette @ 12.5 beat Red C5 , nice launch with zr-1 guy!

P.S. Go to last comment on video.

The CTSV is a lead sled it weighs almost 4,000 lbs. its at
least 600 lbs heavier than a Corvette. I raced my 1996 Corvette
LT1 auto G92 3.07 all stock against my cousins 2004 CTSV all stock
and I smoked him badly. The CTSV is a tank. Just think about this
a 2004 Z06 0-60 is 4 secs flat. A 2004 CTSV with a Z06 motor is 4.9 if you rev it like crazy and get lucky. A 1992 Corvette with a 6 speed ran a 4.9 secs 0-60 and that was 16 years ago!!!!!! The 1992 auto was 5.2 seconds.

The CTSV is way over-rated!! ITS WAY TOO HEAVY!!

No way mine wil ever see a 12 without Drag Radials....No matter how its launched it is a 13 sec car until then. We dont have the best air, but ET is ET. Has a 12 in it but its still a 13 sec car.
