Anyone have advice on cleaning bugs and tar with minimum elbow grease? The previous owner of my C4 wasn't diligent in keeping the panels below the doors clean, so I'm gonna try to get all that stuff off. I've tried auto-store bug and tar removers in the past on other vehicles and they never seem to live up to their billings. Friends have suggested stuff like WD40, but I don't want to put anything on the paint without knowing for sure it won't mess it up. Appreciate any advice.
Avon skin So Soft Bath Oil. My wife use to sell it, it works great. I changed a fuel filter on my asphalt driveway and got a lump of tar in my hair, that stuff took it right out. i have used it on paint and chrome.
My first choice would be a Bug & Tar remover. You have to spray it on and let it sit 2-5 minutes before it becomes effective. I've had good luck with WD-40 as well, but B&T removers spray out as a foam and won't drip off a panel as easily, which is key to letting it dwell.
GREAT looking car I have used w-d40 and spray blaster neither hurt the paint the blaster works faster , I would clean up after and rewax the place it was use or you may see the areas where the surface was cleaned , most of these removers will also remove the wax along with the bugs and tar , good luck again looks great D . Stoner's Tarminator is also very good.
I haven't had a need to remove any tar from my car but if Stoner's Tarminator works half as well as their "Invisible Glass" glass cleaner it would get my vote.
Besides, with a name like "Stoner" it has to be very
