C5 vs C4
Owning any year Vette is a step in the right direction. :yesnod:
As far as letting my C5 sit around I guess thats how I've racked up 35K on the odometer ;)
2thdr and myself are at the track 2 - 3 times a month and we are usually the only vettes there. Unless SW is running that 7 litre Monster of his!
Lets skip the infighting and pound on the blue oval guys or the ever deserving import crowd. :D
Now I've done it! All my import and mustang friends are going to start chiming in to give me a hard time.
Peace my Brothers!

If someone wants one car or another that's thier choice, that's what makes the world go around.
Just don't be a complete pest as ask the guy when he's going to get rid of his dream car, and buy someone elses!
I'm an equal opportunity drag racing fool. :yesnod:
I even have a buddy with a YELLOW C4!! ;)
We're thinking about hitting the drag strip at RCR this Wednesday and Temple on Friday.
You game for some fun?

I bet most everyone would love to own a corvette from each generation, that would be cool. But money, personal preference and avalablity are usually what gets us into the specific corvette we drive is mine better than yours and his his better than mine, silly debate. Is vanilla or chocalte ice cream better, either way its ice cream. We choice to drive the same Model car, The only one with a mueseum dedicated to it, and fight, not disagree among ourselves which is "BEST"
Chill out, enjoy the ride, Save the wave, and appreciate your friends choice.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

All I can say is WOW:D Now I understand the Corvette Heritage and having a classic sportscar background can appreciate the whole family of Corvette generations, C1 through C5. I've gone to a bunch of local Corvetteforum get togethers and even made the "Pilgramage" to Bowling Green on Labor Day for the NCM Birthday Bash. I'm hooked :yesnod:
Now, here's the clincher...I hope this won't make to many peoples heads spin, but..... I'm looking for an OLDER generation Vette to restore. Can you beleive it! A C5 owner WANTING a C4 or C3 (maybe older, but too many $$$). I'm narrowing it down to a Chrome bumper C3 or early C4 (would love a Z71, but again $$$)
Just wanted you to realize that not all C5 owners are from the "Wine & Cheese" crowd. Some of us are just "Car Guys" :yesnod:
Peace
(Buy you a beer at the Cruise-In if your going)
Our first Corvette was a C3. We test drove one of the first C4's, as our dealer was one of the largest in the country & allowed us to drive one on his test track before the 'official' unveiling by GM. Both the C3 & C4 have more sport car feel, however, the combination of technology, handling & comfort of the C5 is hard to beat.
We like the C5...some prefer the C4...but that does not make either better or worse than the other. Some people need to lighten up a little & appreciate each other as Corvette lovers!

but the thing that is better about the C4's is that they seem to be more moddable... my buddy has one... and for the same amount of money(5K) ... his C4 is at about 380RWHP... but my C5 would cost much more for that much power...
The best generation for and all rounded car : C5
The best generation for all out power handling capability: C4

not that I want to see thier big butt cars anyways...
But in terms of the C4 vs C5 debate- I really like them both. I would love to have a C5 to drive around, but also love my C4. I think they both have their merrits and their weaknesses, but above all, they are both Vettes!!!
:D

I remember when the C4 first came out there I am in my TR7, top down roll along side a Vette we wave, we speed up.side by side .. we sped up more until the TR was peddling as fast as she could (had to downshift to accelerate) the TR 7 was crying prettiy hard had about 1 MPH left in her then PHEW there went the Vette... some day I'm gonna get one of those...
