I did have the tranny rebuilt last year
Its free to jack up the car at home and inspect, grab, and shake those components...
If nothing is found like that; grab a socket(s), extension, and ratchet and make sure all the bolts are tight on the inspection plate, bell-housing, and other tranny components while the engine is NOT running.
THEN
If nothing is found like that...and...If you are experienced enough:
make sure you have the car properly lifted and secured on jack-stands, wheels chocked, e-brake on and start the car in park...see if you can pin-point the noise and go from there.
If you arent that familiar with the above, have a friend that is experienced come help, maybe bring it to a local mechanic or friend with a lift to pin-point the noise...
or...
if after having it on jack-stands and nothing is found, call and ask the tranny shop that built it to send a tech to try and diagnose it at your house before putting it on the wrecker...most tranny shops have wreckers to bring cars in. Most around here will send an apprentice tech to diagnose the prob before actually taking the car back to the shop.

P.S. check also your flywheel bolts since you said you had your tranny worked on recently. putting a load on the tranny will make the noise go away if those are not torqued all the way.
