I took it out yesterday and the holley "correct" TV cable bracket is not "correct". I thought that the shorter travel would be an issue when I installed it.
I have to fix that before I drive it of course but other than that I should be good.

Had a lifter failure that i had to fix but it was pretty strong. I put the new lifters in and fired it up again this weekend but the shifter cable let go (burned up on the exhaust) when I went to pull it out of the garage.
When I had it out before the lifter issue it was like driving on ice though. I may have a little trouble getting it to hook without breaking anything
I will try to get a video once I go a few miles without breaking anything.

Quick update...
I had it out today and figured that I would have some fun so I left a light and gently ran it up to 4K and then MASHED it for the first time
The car definately gives you that "amusement park ride" feeling in the chest and gut
The torque had my son and I pinned in the seats as soon as I hit it and it didn't let up until I lifted my foot
I only went halfway through second though as the car attracts a bit of "attention" with just pipes for an exhaust but it most definately brings me back a few years and for him it was his first real ride in a big block car
