Cool maybe when it's sitting on the Tires with that extra weight on the front it will have that slight rake to it like a race car. Keep rollin man this is a cool swap. Pipe

You really got the HOLYS**T effect going on.What are you doing for an upgraded cooling system?Nothing like the growl of a bigblock.

Thanks for the interest guys
I will try to get them all answered at once
The rake from the added weight I will be lowering the back to get it level. It realy didn't drop much if at all and i do like the look of these cars level. (and yes I know...my scoop came today)

Cooling system is stock except that the AC is out now and I have wired both fans to come on together and have an adjustable switch that I set at 210. It hasn't gone above that even in the garage.

Change the harness The only thing I think the computer is running is the fuel pump. No changing required, just cutting

More pics

All that is left to drive it is to figure out why the power steering won't prime. I should have that done this weekend and go out and seat the rings Sunday with any luck.

that's quite the tame idle, very close to stock. what kind of power do you think it will make?

It is the comp cams Xtreme energy 268H. I was very impressed with the idle quality around 1050RPM but it gets awful bumby under 1000 so I will keep it high. I still have to set the carb (factory right now) once I get out and seat the rings. It was at 1100 in the video

Here is the sim based on 9:1 but it actually has 10:1 in it now.

I like the torque curve more than the peak HP

Default 4l80e

Now all you need is a 4L80E with steering wheel mount paddle shifters.
Perfect match for the big block block torque and power.
They make a nice tail housing kit for the C-beam that makes it easy now.

Youll like that cam in a 454, good manners and will blow the tires off the wheel by just stabbing the throttle. Good street cam.
Spal makes a good dual electric fan setup, moves a TON of air and doesnt draw too many amps fwiw.

When I worked at Arizona Speed and Marine in the early 90s we had a guy who put a 468 into his '84.
AS&M makes a big block tuned port setup that will clear the hood BTW.

I think that I have the belt tight enough to stop squealing when the fans kick on now

I will watch the temp closely this year, a fellow member here had a great idea using a 16" taurus fan. I may end up going that route if the stock ones don't do the job in the summer.

You could remove your hood seals or make some kind of scoop/air extractor scoop to keep that beast a little cooler.

Default spal fans

I used that dual fan spal set up on my 68 nova...

It did draw a good a bit of current. I burned up the single 25amp relay they supplied in no time. Had to use two separate 25 amp relays, one for each fan.

Another good option.
