If you must
Rough them with 4x0 steel wool and spray bomb,let em tack up then clear coat,dry thoroughly and polish with mothers aluminum.
Total cost about $30.00.

gold rims aren't all that bad you just have to get the right ones. BBS makes a gold set of LM's that will run you north of 5000 dollars.
