First off what would be considered "months" 2? 7? 24?

If it is less than 12 months.....There is a technique for removing the gas.

You depress that tall pedal on the right with your right foot.

You'll know if you are doing it right do to the outer edges of your pie hole turning upwards.

Your problem may not be necessarily with the fuel? Having a mechanic take a look at it may be a wise move. You could have issues with the fuel delivery hardware or even a fuel filter too. Post this thread on the C4 Tech / Performance section too.

No your fuel delivery is messed up, I highly doubt that after six months the gas has gelled such that it can not be delivered to the injectors. Remove the cap and take a smell you will know instantly whether the gas is bad or not. Have you checked for fuel pressure at the rail? Is your fuel pump running? Time to check your Helms manual and troubleshoot.

I would check the basics, fuel filter and fuel pressure to start. I assume you've check the spark and the injectors.

Stop using starter fluid in that thing

You could try siphoning the fuel out the back with a hose into some sort of approved container. Put 5 gal of good fuel in there with perhaps a 1/4-1/2 bottle of dry gas.

What Aaron and others have said. Your problem is not so much with gas as it is the delivery system.

yes i have talked to about three mechanics. one says "could be anything", another said probably fuel pump, and the other says to drain out gas and reaplace pump. the third is a family friend so he may help me tomorrow. but he is not a corvette dude, so he says he will have to look at it to figure out what to do. i know you guys know what youre doing so i would like to go in this kinda having an idea, so im not just standing there. i would like to have a semi knowledgeable opinion.

After the fuel pump primes (humms) go to the shrader valve and press the valve with a screwdriver or such. Fuel should squirt out under pressure so be ready. Only thing is, it might not be enough pressure and you will need a gauge to check it.

Here ya go. When the key is turned "on" the ECM will energize the fuel pump relay. This will send battery voltage through the fuse to the fuel pump for 2 seconds. This allows the fuel lines to become pressurized for start up. When the engine is cranked the oil pressure switch will close as soon as 4 psi of oil pressure is made. The ECM will pulse the injectors after 4-8 revolutions (depending on year).

You will need a fuel pressure gauge to see what pressure is at the fuel rail after the fuel pump has made pressure. It should be around 40 psi.

If you get ~40 psi and the engine still won't start except with starting fluid, you need a noid light to check injector pulses.

If you get less than 30-40 psi, you will need to question the fuel pump, fuel filter, or restricted fuel lines.

If you get no fuel pressure, run a fused jumper wire from the + side of the battery to terminal G on the ALDL ( not sure of exact location on a 90). This will send continious battery voltage to the fuel pump circuit until the wire is removed. Check the connection above the fuel tank after taking the gas lid and rubber boot out. Test the wiring with a voltmeter or test light. With terminal G energized, you should see battery voltage. Check the ground to make sure it's good.

Lastly take the fuel pump out by removing the feed fuel line (top going right), return fuel line (bottom going right), and EVAP line (bottom going left). Take out the 9 bolts and disconnect the fuel pump connector. Becarful with the fuel pump assembly gasket as they get brittle and tear. If you replace the fuel pump, don't forget the sock and strainer too. The fuel pump can be tested outside the fuel tank if needed.
