HELP!! OLD gas.
If it is less than 12 months.....There is a technique for removing the gas.
You depress that tall pedal on the right with your right foot.
You'll know if you are doing it right do to the outer edges of your pie hole turning upwards.

Stop using starter fluid in that thing
You could try siphoning the fuel out the back with a hose into some sort of approved container. Put 5 gal of good fuel in there with perhaps a 1/4-1/2 bottle of dry gas.

You will need a fuel pressure gauge to see what pressure is at the fuel rail after the fuel pump has made pressure. It should be around 40 psi.
If you get ~40 psi and the engine still won't start except with starting fluid, you need a noid light to check injector pulses.
If you get less than 30-40 psi, you will need to question the fuel pump, fuel filter, or restricted fuel lines.
If you get no fuel pressure, run a fused jumper wire from the + side of the battery to terminal G on the ALDL ( not sure of exact location on a 90). This will send continious battery voltage to the fuel pump circuit until the wire is removed. Check the connection above the fuel tank after taking the gas lid and rubber boot out. Test the wiring with a voltmeter or test light. With terminal G energized, you should see battery voltage. Check the ground to make sure it's good.
Lastly take the fuel pump out by removing the feed fuel line (top going right), return fuel line (bottom going right), and EVAP line (bottom going left). Take out the 9 bolts and disconnect the fuel pump connector. Becarful with the fuel pump assembly gasket as they get brittle and tear. If you replace the fuel pump, don't forget the sock and strainer too. The fuel pump can be tested outside the fuel tank if needed.

i going to start trying your guys advice first thing in the morning! i appriciate it!
