WOW! What a differance it made..
What is it about doing a simple induction service, that the throttle response should double and the engine should be even more smooth?? A little while ago I did just that. I used one bottle of toyota induction cleaner, hooked up to the small vacuum port on the left plenum and let it slowly suck it all in. I knew it was doing something when it started smoking like a mosquito machine. I have done alot of induction services during my years, especially as a mech at toyota
. But I have never, ever experienced the results I got today.Educate me fellas - my '92 does NOT have those pesky injectors which fail when seafoam is run through them...right?? Cause I really want to do that as well and see if even more of an improvement...

UPDATE: Just performed a full tuneup on the beasty. Put in new plugs, K&N airfilter and modified the airbox for better/more flow, royal purple synthetic, seafoam treatment for plenum and fuel, trans fluid (6spd) and rear diff lube. Greased every nipple I could find. All I can say is there is a night and day difference!
I used to own an '88 camaro RS and it behaved the same way. Just give it a good tune-up and the overall experience is just better. Seems the same way for the LT-1 as well.
The beast now idles better and pulls much more cleanly from low revs/1st gear. And it nows pulls strongly all the way to redline. Before it did also, just it began to noticeably "wheeze" by the time 5k rolled around and up.
I really like that traction control, makes for an enjoyable experience when hitting a turn at low speed and then pedaling it....and even more so when it is switched off and gettin it sideways! This is a very easy car to drive fast. I love it!

I question this with the Seaform Tech and they stated that Seaform should cause no problems as it is a Oil Base product as compared to other additives that are not oil based and have cause the problem that the GM service memo has stated.
If I recall .. the Multec Injector came in the later C4 (89+ to the end of the C4 line)... Prior to that (84-88) used the Lucas or Bosch injectors.
The Multec Injector is a Wet Coil type (fuel and additives flow around and cool the injector) and therefor if subjected to Harsh chemicals as in some types injector cleaners (as well as the GM cleaners) can and will deteriorate the protective coating on the coils of the injectors and destroy the injector.
