Im a bit confused, just got an 89 and the *** to pull the headlights on also makes it ding in the same way it does if you leave your headlights on after shutting off the car... no idea how to make it not do this
ok, I think I follow that.... but it describes that:
"This circuit needs voltage through the Light Switch, CTSY/CLK Fuse and the Gages Fuse to operate. Voltage is applied to the Light Switch at all times. When the light Switch is in HEAD or PARK this voltage is applied to the Solid-state unit in the Audio Alarm Module. When the Ignition Switch is in RUN, BULB TEST, or START, voltage is applied through the Gages Fuse to the solid-stse unit in the Audio Alarm Module. These two voltages are sensed by the solid-state unit and the alarm is not sounded.
When the Ignition Switch is turned to OFF, the Gages Fuse loses voltage and the solid-state unit senses the change. If voltage is still available from the Light Switch, the chime sounds. The chime can be turned off by turning the Light Switch **** to OFF. The Audio Alarm Module no longer senses the voltage from the Light Switch, so the alarm does not sound."
HOWEVER, mine is completly backwards to this.... how? What am I missing, thanks for the help.
