got my car almost finished next add new doors and sell off the 2000 body kit w/light kit and door shells then paint I was thinking charcoal gray I know its not an original color but I think it will look good

I have always thought that a charcoal would look nice on the c4. I would go with a charcoal metallic that is so dark it almost looks black. THere are a couple of guys with lighter charcoal cars on here. I am sure you will get some pics soon.

Thanks it only has 71000 miles it is in good shape mechanically the interior is bright red and I dont want white or red and my other is black so I wanted something differant. some more sanding and paint should be nice.

Yup, it's a great color, very different from what you normally see, only 848 were painted Charcoal Metallic in 1990. You should also check out the C5 silver/ gray colors, there is one called spiral gray that is very nice.

Here are a few photos of my 90 Charcoal Metallic. Wayne88 is correct that it can have a brownish look in certain lights. In low light people think its black.
