We are interested in knowing what type of general opinion is held of McJack's Corvettes in Santa Ana, CA. Quality of vehicles, pricing, etc.. Any type of feedback is encouraged and welcomed. :flag
I have been visiting their web site for two years and they always have a good selection of very nice restored Corvettes. I would have bought my Vette from McJacks but found one locally which was more economical for me. The owner is a very cool guy. I spoke to him on several occasions and he was always courteous and helpful and he really knows Corvettes. Try their site http://www.mcjackscorvettes.com and you will see what I'm talking about.
Well, I'm glad that someone has heard of him. The website is spectacular and the selection of vettes is pretty impressive. Thank you for your response, any recommendations for a C4 purchase.?
Thank You! for tipping me off to this forum, this place is full of a lot of very serious vette enthusiasts. I ran a search on your log-in name and found some of your postings. Nicely done with the his/hers greeting. If you get a chance check the website for this McJack's place, he has a 1990 in dk mtl red that is pretty sharp. I know an LT-1 is the way to go, however, Desiree is going to be the primary driver and she will have her hands full enough with an L98.
Any corvette is good.. Alot of people here would disagree with the LT1 being the best in the years your looking.. (not me... :D ) But the L98 isnt too shabby either.. besides - is lisa handle the '64 Desiree will have no prob. :p: wth an LT.. heheheh I'll check out the site now.. l8r on
Update: the 90 looks nice and clean.. It might be worth a drive if its close to you.. if not one of the CF members might be able to check it out for you.. :seeya
In CA now?! Glad to see you are going to buy a vette! I guess you hear Chris and I are getting married!!!!! It was the only way I would let him drive my vette you saw!!!!!!!
Congratulations on your engagement!!!You've gotta great man there, don't let m slack on the maintenance of that beatiful car! CA is nice, we're starting to get used to the area. We miss the warm weather though. We are researching what Corvette to purchase and hopefully it will be the big chrismas present this year. :yesnod: All we want for Christmas is our first Corvette!!!
Happy Holidays  :flag
ATTN: Northern California Vette Owners, I need help!! My soon to be fiancee wants a Corvette instead of a diamond ring. Pretty Cool, huh? My request of you, keep your eyes open for a 1990-1995 low mileage metallic red coupe, price range is <$11,000. Anything out there? Most of the dealers have high mile cars (over @110,000) with unknown histories. Shoot me an e-mail or post it up! Thanks ever so much,
Brandon & Desiree  :flag
Well we're all posted up. Let's hope it pays off!
Hey quick question: You saw the 90 on McJack's well come to find out it's a "driver" to translate 160,000 mi driver. Still worth it??

Re: ?McJack's Corvettes? (vettextc42)
I never went there, but when I was seriously shopping for a Vette, I could never get any information from them about any of the cars over the phone... I figured since they didn't have time to answer or return my calls, that I didn't have time to venture out to their business...
I called McJacks several times, over an hour after they opened and I always got a security guard that answered the phone who claimed he didn't know when any of the salesmen were coming in...
I ended up buying mine from a Chevy dealership which also was a bad experience, but at least I could actually talk to someone when I called...
Thanks for the feedback!
You know it's funny that you say that, because in the minimal time that we have delt with this place, (via phone) we were treated basicly the same way. It was like pulling teeth to get the mileage out of these guys! The only real information they wanted to give up was a credit app! And to top it off the guy we spoke to was trying to discount all of the research we'd done.
So with that in mind I think it's safe to say that this place may not be the way to go. (for us anyway.)
I have purchased several items from McJack's. As a customer Jack is a good guy, but their business is very laid back. I think it depends on you if you like laid back and honest or you want quick answers with no promises. I bought retoration parts from them. Purchased a shift top plate and radio console plate for my 94 auto coupe. Price was great, didn't need the leather shifter boot so Jack took it off and chraged me even less. The part he orderred for me was available for pick up within days. One of my Bose amps failled, and Jack let me go through all the ones he had to see if they would work. Didn't buy one, but didn't charge me for anything. My experience with McJack's has been excellent.
