I'm 5'6 and I think the C4 was built for me. I had a friend who was all of 6'6 and he had a 92. He didn't seem to have any problems.
He did always drive with the top off though...Hmmm
6'8" and 270 pounds...There are definately some challenges in the car. There is a technique for getting in and out. You basically put the car on. With seat all the way back and leaned back as far as it goes, there is minimal room for me. I have about a 1/4 inch of headroom. With a helmut I would have to lean over, and that's with the clear top not the painted one on.
All of the above is workable and I really enjoy the car. Long trips are not a problem. The car is a 6spd and there are no problems in that area.
I tried sitting in a C6 and found that I had less headroom. It seemed to me that the windshield sloped back faster or something. Not sure what it was.
As already stated. Try it on for size is the best thing to do.
thanks guys for the welcoming, well i am tall and slim so i dont think the seats are a problem, my weight is 90kg which i think would be around 200 pounds? not too sure on conversion.
shoe size is 13, i have long legs and sort of longish neck so would need to go for clear roof most probably.
djpatrick35: your a tank man :-) that means a good thing over in Australia, glad you fit into the c4. i love them just from looking at them.
94flavete: i feel the same, i want the c4, not interested in the c5, anyway cost to much for me. how does room go with the steering wheel, do you have to have it right up as far as it can go and towards you. i always imageed your knees would be touching it?
can c4's be converted to rhd?
thanks again

I drive a 91 im 6'2" and about 250 pounds and I have no issues with the steering wheel. I am running 96 seats as I had seat bolster butt syndrome due to the earlier sport seats. If I may suggest get a C4 and put in the larger seats for comfort. Height is ok for me with the solid targa. I have a long torso and short stubby legs which make me a mutt I guess lol. Good luck with the car qwest your going to love driving a C4.
goldcylon: thanks, do the newer seats hug you, i like seats to firmly hold you while driving.
do you know how much it costs to export cars to Australia, and do you need a license or need to be registered( can the average Joe do it, or do i have to go through a company)?
thanks

lol no the 94-96 C4 seat hug you less. The 93 was the last year of the cockpit hug you style seats. Not sure on the export issues but username Casethecrovetteman one of your kinsman from down under may know the answer to that question
I'm 5' 8 and getting in no problem except smacking my head on the top will I'm falling in, maybe I should wear a helmet while I'm getting in, then once in finally in it seems the car was just built for me!
I'm also vertically challenged at 5'8", if I'm to believe all the other gargantuan posters.
