The hash marks on my GS was a bit rough, so i took them off 1 month ago, and have since been in the garage alot, working on my long list of winter projects, and I have come to kinda like ít without the red Hash Marks. IT a clean look with the blue car and black wheels from the side...
I know alot will say, do what you like, it yours etc, and I will, for sure..
I would just like to know what you think about a Grand Sport with no hash marks?
I might have to obey the skunk-code, if there is such
I knew a guy (a Doctor) who bought a 78 Silver Anniversary Corvette, the beautiful two-tone silver. Less than a year later He had it painted RED simply because he wanted a red vette! SACRILEGE!! He ruined a Classic. BUT, it was His car! I still Hate him for it! As for your hash marks...they are easliy replaced, just don't paint the car Lambo green or orange! By the way Lars, did you sell your fine 87? Remember me? I have an 87 just like yours.

Hi
Yes we had near twin cars
I sold the 87 last summer, to get another dream i had. I still talk to the owner, and helps him with parts etc... Still looks good
You can always put them back on whenever you feel like it , or not . But I gotta say , if it were me , I would probably put them back on , eventually .
The ones on my car were removed by the used car dealer I bought it from. I really liked it without the hashmarks. Be prepared to get questions by complete internet strangers who are 'suspicious' about your GS because it doesn't have the hashmarks. I eventually put them back on mine.
His car His money His taste.
He kinda likes the look without the red HASH !!!!!!
He's the guy that looks at it EVERYDAY !!
I suggest he buys new ones from GM now.
Put em away
Re-install when you sell it.
My personal opinion that blue and red combo maybe rare, maybe has lotsa heritage, but it is NOT pretty by comparison to other color combos.
Ask 100 people on the street what looks best. My bet is the vast majority would say NO HASH MARKS !!!!
