The best way I can explain this to you is once you equal the horsepower between a C4 and a C6 the C4 is more fun to drive. The 2005 I had was plagued with problems, and the driving experience was sanitized when comparing it to a C4. I was shocked how well it ran because it really doesn't feel as quick as it is. Too much electronic nonsense, too quiet and smooth, a feeling of isolation comes to mind.
My dad said my Z had an old "big block" feel as opposed to the electronically-controlled speed of the C6. The Z will throw you back in your seat and the shifter's a lot smoother than the C6. I love the C4 cockpit. So if I had to choose between getting another ZR-1 and another C6 - I'd get the Z.

i really like the c6 in looks and of course its a better car, newer etc...
but when you see a c4, you just think, thats nice! i would rather a c4, like the stance, shape etc.... also a c4 in Australia is $24999 and a 2006 6litre vette is $159000. absolutley rediculous.

Got compliments on my '93 the other day. The C4 still has a lot of fans out there. 
My '93 Ruby 'Vert gets quite a bit of attention. Well detailed, unmolested C-4's are getting the recognition they deserve.
