Default Anyone Have A Gas Door Emblem On Their Breadbox Delete Panel ??

I pulled all my carbon fiber of my dash pieces and I'm in the process of repairing the plastic in preparation for paint. I had the "Corvette" bumper lettering on the delete panel but my single din adapter also has "Corvette" on it. Seems kind of redundant, so I was thinking of putting my extra(new) gas door emblem on the delete panel.
If someone has done this already, I would love to see a pic to help me make up my mind.

Did you have problems with the carbon fiber panels coming off, or did you just decide to remove it? Sounds like a nice idea to put the gas door emblem on the breadbox panel.

That could look cool. But if "Corvette" was redundant, then the emblem might be too with the horn button emblem. Just a pre-picture thought. Good luck on your decision.

I've done it and like the way it looks. Ties both sides of the dash together with the two emblems, horn and dash. I don't have a pic but will try to get one. But taste is unique to each person.

Good Luck

I was thinking that too, but they are not beside each other and like cfi says, it kind of ties in the 2 sides.

True, the symmetry could be nice.

wow it looks waaaaay better without the "breadbox" (i assume that is the term for the dash pad thing that sticks out and looks dumb). Is there a delete panel you can buy to do that or is this something you made yourself. (noob question im sure)

You can get the delete panel from Corvette America for about $50.00. Takes about an hour to put in, and it looks a lot better than that bread box!!!

I like the looks of the Corvette on the delete panel. I was always wondering how that would look, and if it would fit. Thanks for the picture. That help me make my up my mind. Did you have to drill holes in the panel, or did you just stick it on???

If passengers in your car didn't notice its a Corvette when getting in, they would surely realize once inside

I am sure that all delete panels come in black, so you will need to paint it with interior paint to match. Shouldn't be a big deal. You will be using the stock rubber seal to mount around the lip of the new panel, and all the seals may be black.
