Lots of insurance.
Besides, our lovely VATS systems manages to keep half of us from driving them anyway.

I never leave my cars out of my sight. They are either in the garage or I'm driving. If I go to a restaurant it's one where I can see the car from my seat and I park over in the corner away from everyone. If I do an overnight in a motel I only stay in the type that are 1 floor and park the car right in front of the room.

I just leave a note on the window saying the gas tank is empty. Then I say, Use only premium fuel. This will scare off anyone these days.

if i ever get really worried in a "place", i either pull both ignition fuses or back out the ignition module connector on the dizzy.
if a thief has his code reader, test light, DVOM, and FSM handy, and figures it out by the time i get back to my car, well, he just won himself a vette!!!

Funny part of this post is the main reason I even opened this thread was to see how many posts it took before someone said "shotgun" (I think the FIRST reply does that.

Another vote for BEWARE of OWNER. Funny thing is most of the punks really sweat my pitbull instead of worrying about me.
I have some 300 grain hollow points I'd like to try out!
But its a little too large for daily carry....this one's better for CCW.

Pull the fuel pump fuse, if you "feel the need" for something beyond VATS. Works for me (when I'm feeling paranoid! :-)
