1988 c4 vette.spak plug plea.
Hi everyone, you've been very helpful so far and I wonder whether I can prevail upon you for some more info. Will you tell me what is the unit that sits beside the a/c whose piping hinders access to the spark plug on cylinder #6,am I able to disconnect the pipe without any problems ? Also, I'm still confused as to which are the best plugs and why ? Thanking you all in advance.

That black plastic rectangular unit is the AIR Divert Valve; the ECM uses it to direct air from the AIR pump to the headers, to the cat or to the dump.

That black box is the air divert valve, it diverts the air from the air pump to the exhaust manifolds during the warm up period, it is part of the emissions control systems. you can unhook the hoses to gain acess to the park plugs with no problems.
