Default Driver side seat problem

Just bought a 92 with sports seats. My brother checked it out for me in Florida and when he did he said the drivers seat worked fine. He did say he had to move it back to accomodate his height. When I got the car here the drivers seat is not working. The motor "growls" and I don't get any response from the seat. Cannot move it. Passenger seat is great in operation. Any thoughts on this, please.
Thanks,
Bill

When the seat mechanisms go bad the can act differently in different positions. The good news is that the unit is replaceable from Ecklers in Florida (or mid-America). Its is a easy repair and change out. The units are not repairable because the nylon bushings break causing the gears not to mesh. We can not get the parts for a fix. The downside is it will run around two hundred but forget the exact price.

Cost you about $275 including the shipping both ways (core return!!). 1 hour to R/R the old one if ya haven't done it before. It's 8 nuts and bolts. REALLY easy once you've done it!

I just did it last week on my '92.

I'm happy to help if you need it.

PM me or post up here and either me or someone else will help ya.
