Default Engine Pics

Got the car ready for the C4-Gathering on my vacation. I had an oil leak and a tranny leak. While replacing the valve-cover & intake gaskets, I added some bolt-ons and cleaned her up a bit.
The tranny got a new deep aluminum pan, filter, fluid and o-ring for the speedo sensor. (source of the leak)

The mods I made were:

1. Ram-Air cold air intake.

2. 1.6 roller rockers.

3. LT4 springs.

4. Hooker shortie headers.

5. Ground off the tips of the screws holding the throttle blades to the shaft.

6. Removed screen from MAF housing.

7. Lastly, AIT sensor extension.

These mods combined improved my 1/4mi performance by 5/ 10 & 5 mph. (Stock was 13.75 @ 101 mph, now my best is 13.21 @ 106 mph)

After making my 1st mods to my LT-1, I couldn't put it back together looking without making it look as sweet as it runs.

This mod has me worried. Usually the end of screw is staked so it can't back out and get sucked into the motor. Is there still some flare to the end of screw so it won't come out ??

It's red. In person, it matches the car. I think the florecent lights in my garage messed with my camera.

I added red Loctite to the threads. It should be ok.

Glad to hear you got the Vette fixed. You really need to learn to put your Vette ahead of the kids. It does look better in person then in the photos. I can't tell in the pic but did you get the lettering done I see you sanded down the top of the intake.

Is that Plastic Paint? What brand/type of Paint did you use? I likes it!

Thanks, Jon. I got a paint pen at a hobby store. I sanded the ribs on the intake and then polished them with Mothers.

I used Duplicolor engine paint.

Thanks for the compliments guys. It makes all of the work worth while.
