yeah the teeth of the cork screw gear and the white gear are touching for sure. Those are the only two gears that i see in there. Not sure what black gear you are talking about. now when the headlight is out and on my table and i turn the motor manuly from the top of the motor you can see it moving the headlight but once you put the headlight back in the hood it wont even unlock the motor just spins for 15 to 20 seconds. also if it is the cork screw gear how might i fix that or run a test to make sure thats the problem. Thanks again for all your help im in the middle of a move right now so i dont have internet at home and have to use the work comp so trying to figuar everything out before i head home todo some more trouble shooting.

It has to be with that part that comes out of the shaft
See the part that is sticking out 90° or the shaft??
If the motor corkscrew is turning the white gear and the white gear is turning that shaft that comes out of the motor sideways.....then there is something loose or not coupled between that side shaft and the headlight bucket.

yeah looks just like it lol pain to keep those brushes in when putting it all back together but yeah that is it. and when i manually unlock the headlight from being under the hood the light just falls down to the heavyest spot.
yeah i was wondering if the shaft coming out of the white gear is spinning inside the white gear or if it has to do something with the linkage connecting to the shaft outside the motor caseing. and the pin is secure in the shaft of the outside of the motor case connecting the linkage to the shaft.
just so i make sure i am understanding this correct when you say coupling are you talking about the linkage connecting to the shaft coming out of the motor case.
Again thanks for all you help?

will check that out too. "aluminum puck housing and shaft at one of the three valleys" Can someone describe these parts i know all the parts on the linkage and motor but unfortanitly do not know the tech terms for some of those parts.
Thanks
