Antenna Replacement Help
I have located the antenna and had it off the mounting bracket. I want to know how to check to see if the motor still works or if the relay is gone. The Short of the story: The antenna mast broke 10 tears ago, then the motor kept running all the time when your turned on or off the radio. Then it stopped making any running sound all together. My question is how can I tell if the motor has burnt out or if the antenna relay burnt out and thats why it isn't running before I change the antenna? Is there a way to check and see if there is current running to the motor that will tell me the relay is working (if thats what the relay is for) Please help!!!

Your antenna is slightly different than my 86, but probably operates in the same fashion. That being said, this info from my 86 manual may help you diagnose/test yours.
