Whers that valve ??????
# 2.. last night while driven home my gurl overheated..
appears to be leaking water from the radiator beside the driver side top hose. figure i blew out the radiator, my car is a 96 with round 135,000 mi.will I be doing a no no trying to use some type of sealant
in my radiator? Is this a major ordeal trying to remove it? has anyone done this work to ther own?
anyone with a quick fix idea,,...?
Can't help you with the vent issue very much. Although I remember reading something about a diaphragm under the dash on the '96's that goes bad on them. It controls the vacuum that works the vents. Good Luck!

Don't cut corners on the radiator issue, it could end up costing you an engine. You should find the one way vacuum check valve for the A/C under the right side fuel rail cover.

But if the plastic tank on the side is cracked, they can be replaced. So if you like the way it was cooling , it could be an alternate solution if money is an issue.
Take the valve to the dealer, show it to the parts guy. Chances are he'll just grunt and go get the replacement w/o even looking it up. It was about as cheap a repair part as I ever bought for my Vettes.
Of course, there are other things it could be, but I'd start there first.
