I'm looking for guidance with diagnosing my 1984 passenger side headlight. The headlight opens just fine, every time, but it does not close when I turn the headlights off. The driver's side does. If I disconnect the motor wire harness and spin the motor just a few times to start it back down, and then reconnect the wire harness, it will close the rest of the way. Any ideas what the problem is? Thanks.

There is a white gear inside that you need the check. It get groves in it and will bind.
