Nope. That's not the logic used at all. All 93 are, indeed, anniversary models. Only the RUBY 93 is the extra special anniversary model - the one that most people think of when they hear 93 anniversary.
All 88 were not special editions. Only 2050 of 'em were.
All LT4 were not Grand Sports, but now you've brought up yet another purist dilemma - I think putting the Grand Sport badge on any LT4 would be OK. Heresy to some. OK by me. Not really an untruth like putting special editions badges on just any '88.
Let the fisticuffs continue...
Can you tell me what makes all 93's anniversary models? Don't say it's on the seats, it's only on the leather seats. Do you think maybe it's on the option list in the console?
But it feels so good when you finally take them off!
Put A ZR-1 badge on your car and see what happens
You should put the 40th anniversary ZR-1 badges on yours, those are freakin sweet Seriously though whatever the 40th badge looks good on dark colors and it matches the seats so wtf who cares ain't my car.

Its not so much what but who,Chevrolet?I love a good pissing contest. The reason the cloth seat doesnt have the 40th on them is because G.M. was too cheap to pay the supplier to put it on the seats.Thats my take on it.

I agree 100%, you buy it, you pay for it, you do as you please with it. I don't have the engine, I don't want the badges. You can put Rustang badges on it, but it still ain't a Ford!

So Chevrolet was too cheap to do it, NOW I understand. Thanks a lot for showing me the light. So all Chevy's are really Corvettes, Chevrolet was too cheap to put Corvette badges on them.
For Sale, 1 Ruby Red Corvette, I'm going to get me one of those Geo Metro Corvettes. Same car, Chevrolet was just too cheap to badge them correctly.

Easy, GM said so!!!
This is like shooting fish in a barrel.
Hmmm...seems to have hit a sore spot with you. I've seen a few
93s with the 40th badge on the fenders and I like it. Still doesn't mean its the extra special RUBY. editon.
I probably would not put the badges on the 88 if it were not the white/white extra special edition, though. Correct me if I'm wrong (and it sounds like you will), but I think the 88 fender badges say "special edition". That would be kinda lying in the case of an 88. It would not, however, be kinda lying in the case of the 93.
Doubled checked today, the fender badges only have "Chevrolet Corvette...35th"

You havent got a clue,Im done with this.Oh,and your welcome
I am thrilled to own an extra-special exceedingly rare black-on-black cloth seat (that's right, logo ONLY on the owner's manual) 35th Anniverary Edition. I think I'll offer mine right now to anyone on this Forum for $25K given its ultra-exclusive status................
Come on guys. This is a cut and dried issue with no ending. Yes, all 93s with leather seats came with '40' embroidery. It does represent the 40th year of manufacture of the Corvette. If it does not have RPO Z25 on the build sheet or invoice, it is not a 40th Anniversary Edition. You're not blind. Screw political correctness. If it's not ruby red, it's not an Anniversary Edition. Sticking an emblem on your car is a personal issue. But putting the 40th badge, Grand Sport badge, Mustang Cobra or Mack Truck badge on anything, doesn't make it so. Turn off your old records. You're listened to Dusty Springfield singing 'wishin' and hopin' too many times.
Now let's argue about something important. I think that polo green is really british racing green. What do you think?
