I have a 93 that I purchased last year and the seats have the 40th anniversary stitched into them and the owners manual has the same emblem on it.Does this mean it is an anniversary model? There are no emblems on the outside that state it is so I am not sure, any help?
As I recall, all 93s were considered anniversary editions. Only the RUBY corvettes, though, are the special anniversary edition package. So, it's an anniversary edition, but, if not a RUBY, not the special package. And only RUBYs had the fender badge (although I kinda like the fender badge, and if I had a 93 non-RUBY, I think I'd put 'em on anyway).

It's kinda funny to see the Ruby guys get all hot and bothered about this though. (I've got both)

And if you had a 88 White Vette with a red interior you would add the badges and call it a 35th Anniversity Edition.

Hmmm...seems to have hit a sore spot with you. I've seen a few
93s with the 40th badge on the fenders and I like it. Still doesn't mean its the extra special RUBY. editon.
I probably would not put the badges on the 88 if it were not the white/white extra special edition, though. Correct me if I'm wrong (and it sounds like you will), but I think the 88 fender badges say "special edition". That would be kinda lying in the case of an 88. It would not, however, be kinda lying in the case of the 93.
There are 2050 of us '88 35th Anniversary owners, we meet once a month to seek out fender badge phonies and when we find one we band together, drive to their house and paint their rims and interior with white spray paint.

This is simple enough, not all 88 cars were the anniversary cars while ALL 93s were. That was easy. While you could put the anniversary badges on any 93 and get away with it,doing the same on any 88 wouldnt fly.Find an argument in that.

Corvette started in 53, so 53 + 35 = 88.
Using your logic that all 93's are 40th so are all 88's 35's
All LT4's are Grand Sports, it says so on the throttle body cover.

Put another way.Did Chevrolet make all 88s anniversary cars?Did Chevrolet make all 93s anniversary cars?No and yes.You can look at it anyway you like, simple fact is there were only 2050 made in 88,not thousands.

All 93's are not anniversary cars, only the Ruby Red cars are the official anniversary option package. Look up the Blue book value of a 93 and see the difference if like?

Nope. That's not the logic used at all. All 93 are, indeed, anniversary models. Only the RUBY 93 is the extra special anniversary model - the one that most people think of when they hear 93 anniversary.
All 88 were not special editions. Only 2050 of 'em were.
All LT4 were not Grand Sports, but now you've brought up yet another purist dilemma - I think putting the Grand Sport badge on any LT4 would be OK. Heresy to some. OK by me. Not really an untruth like putting special editions badges on just any '88.

No just every one of the 20,000 with leather seats have the logo
Here's the link if you want a good laugh at what a 93 RUBY SUPER DUPER SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY EDITION is worth according to the NADA guide, good luck selling one for that.

They're still cars made in the 35th Anniversary year.
I've got a '94 White Vert. Think I'll put a 40th +1 fender badge on it.
Well, it is the 41st anniversary year. Tell your wife that you only count your wedding anniversary every 5th or 10th year and see where you sleep that night.
