84 Digital Dash
Pretty much new to the thread here, me and my dad just bought a 1984 Corvette, as all of you know, the digital dash in these vettes go out. When we bought the car, it would only go in and out very rarely and mostly worked. Now its just out. Ive read that to resolder on the the back of a board behind the guages is pretty much the fix. I am good with a soldering iron, not that not a worry, i have had the gauges out but was woundering were and which curcuit board i am supposed to fix? So if you could tell me what or were the board is at i would appreciate it. Thanks

Unless you know exactly what you are soldering you should find a professional to do it. I had mine (88) repaired for about $300 2 months ago. Now even my gas gauge works. Sounds to me like you need a new power supply. PM me for this guy, 4 day turn around, I was close to his location, and great communication, wouldn't fix it until he got my OK.

If I were you, I'd take the whole thing out and take a good look at it in a well lit area. My 1984 dash used to come and go a lot. I took it out and looked at the back, and one of the pins was bent. I straightened it out, and it has been good ever since. Look for the easy fix before pursuing the harder fix.
