. What is a fair price and what type should I go with? I live in NY. Also, can the rear plastic be tinted with anything?? Thanks

You first need to ensure that the area you live in allows you to install tint on your windows. Some locales don't allow it. If it is allowed, most places allow you to go, I believe it is 32% on the sides and the rear you can do what you want. The place you go to for the installation should know. You should pay somewhere between $150-$250, depending on the shop. NY prices will be higher than other states. I'm not sure what plastic piece you are referring to on the rear.

I paid $175, legal tint, lifetime warranty, and they did the back window in 1 peice of tint!!
Not only that, they removed all the latches and struts off the hatch and tinted underneath the mounts.

I paid $225 15% on sides ( Illegal ) and 15% on the back (legal). The car looks great. They did the back on 3pcs and cut around the glass struts and latch. If they do not cut around the glas struts it will crinkle

Just picked it up, looks good. Went with 30% on both sides, thats what the car has had for the past 12 years when it was bought. I saw a couple tiny bubbles, but I look for everything

It definitely does help keep the heat from penetrating your vehicle. You'll notice the effects of a tinted vehicle more so in a warmer climate. If you live in a state such as TX, AZ, FL, etc., you definitely should tint your car.

I just had mine done this weekend. $150 for all, not exactly sure of the % but it looks good. You'll be glad to did! Oh yeah....make sure they use one piece on the back glass. (not pieced together). It will look better and is a sign of a good installer.

I'm going to get my rear hatch done. NO SIDE WINDOW FOR U!!!
I also have to fix my rear defogger and my struts are getting weak. They hold the hatch but it won't raise on its own.
So, I decided I'm going to take the hatch right off the car and get it all done in one shot.
