I have had a set on my Z28 for three years that came from 'vettebrakes. They are the best quality that I have ever seen and I used to manage a tire shop. I have also seen what happens when you use cheap adapters.
The 'Vettebrakes adapters are expensive (about $300 a set), but this isn't somewhere that you should settle for less than the best.

 AMEN!!!
For something like this...get the absolute best there is!!! Lotta folks in here can tell ya storys about what can happen when a wheel adapter breaks. It ain't pretty!
Where not talking second hand 'I heard it from a guy who knew this other...etc...etc..." kind of story, lets here first hand...did the tires fall off?
I would have a hard time believing that any company would create a product that would be inherently unsafe ( other than Ford :D ) thereby leaving themselves wide open for a clear cut liability suit.
I would also say almost any major manufacturer that markets such an item would be a little cautious about it.
A lot of places use just spacers... Vettebrakes adapters actually bolt on to the hub and the adapter has new studs on it that the wheel goes on to. They are right around the corner from me and I've seen these 1st hand. . they are some quality peices.
I have had spacers on my 86 for close to 3 years now, no problems so far. I bought the spacers from Vette Brakes and Products. They are located here in Central Florida. I needed 3/4" spacers to fit the 17x9.5 ZR1 replica wheels. The wheels with the correct offset seemed to be a lot harder to find at that time. Here are a couple of pictures of them installed.
