For all of you C4 guys, heres a run against a new Z06. In all honesty, I must say the driver was a noobie. I ran a 12.8 at 4400 ft at RMR raceway in Utah.
These runs are on 315 sumo's street tires I am nervous about slicks with the baby Dana. It is still squealing them at the 1/8 mile, but it runs pretty good at this alltitude (4400 ft)
Z06 should have been running in the low 11s if it was driven properly. I owned a low mileage 2002 Z06 before my '96 CE LT4. The Z06 had more bottom end grunt off the line. But it still is a notch in the handle for the C4 ...nice run
Great times. I think you could get into the low 12s with some better tires and a little higher launch.
I went ahead and put 11" wide mt et streets on mine with the dana 36. Hopefully I'll have it on the track next week, I'll let you know what happens back there!
I think I created a ticking time bomb, oh well, would be a good excuse to upgrade!

Low 11s or maybe 11.5 at best. Ive seen a few go down the track and not even close to low 11s. The mph being mid 120s says it should do low 11s.
I get the sense that once you whipped him out of the hole, he didn't push it down the track. Zo6 are awesome acceleration machines....even if you mess up the launch, he should have been able to catch the C4, if the C4 only ran a 12.8. Something definitely not right witht eh Z06.
But bottom line is....you whupped his azz good.

You guys are forgetting that Rocky Mountain Raceway is at 4400 ft altitude. We are giving up over a second to you at sea level. I doubt a Z06 with street tires can break under 12 seconds here.
