Bose Amp Removal
Here is my rear speaker housing that I'm going to send my bose amp in for repair, but unsure what it looks like and how to remove it. Is the shiny box inside the plastic shell the amp? If yes, how do you remove it?

The amp is a small circuirt board about 2 inches square. Each speaker has one. You'll have to remove the entire speaker assembly. I believe there are 4 screws holding them to the speaker housing and connected with a pigtail. they suggest that they are replaced in pairs. I replaced all of mine when i bought the car. found them on e bay from partslady for $75 ea.

Dis-assemble the speaker enclosure once its out. Its held together by 7-9 screws. Its a very solid enclosure. Once apart the amp circuit board is in the small case. Removing the rear enclosures is a piece of cake, the fromt enclosures in the door are a pain in the *** to remove.
Hondo is correct, replace in pairs. The Parts Lady had very good pricing back in March on the amps.
