The biggest "deal" for me was getting the door panel off/on and repairing the creacked panel plastic.
In '88 the inner seal is held onto the panel by staples. I removed the old staples and installed the new strips with SS staples using small C-clamps to hold the strip in place before installing each new staple into the old holes. Here I used a small drill on the strip so I could use the OEM staple holes of the panel.
Don't recall where I bought to strips though, possibly Contemporary Corvette (link on my site) as I often use them for such parts.

on my 90 the seals are held on with pop rivets. I used a small punch to drive the stem out of the center of the rivet and then drilled the heads off. I think there were 7 on each side.
