Sorry guys.....I just get tired of talking about this subject.....We all know C4's are the best & the best looking! I always like to say "one mans junk is another mans treasure" My junky C4's are my treasure for sure!!
Thats great!!! have a great weekend i will be working on my garbage 84 & 92 C4's
I have a red 84 with 23000 original miles .Everything works on it. Drive nice.Looks and sounds great.Take it on I-4 once in a while. Fast enough for me. I have had it hit 110 .Seemed to be able to want to keep going faster. I'll hold on to it for awhile. Sorry,I'm not going to give it away. I got a 2000 prism that I'll let go for $3000.
So do you guys reckon that used C4's will ever appreciate in value? Or any other of the newer vettes for that matter? I'm investigating my future options in case my (american mid-80's could-have-been-sportscar) turns out to be a disapointment and the C4 is currently in a price-range where it is a very realistic option (where would one look for an up-to-date price-guide btw?).
The ZR-1 is probably going to appreciate I think because of the impressive performance (well, it was back then at least), but the "standard" versions?
Oh yeah, I'm new here, so sorry if I'm asking a lot of dumbass questions trying to learn more
A lot of C-4's built. A lot of them have many miles and limited maintenance with usual options and colors. A few have desirable color, options and are in mint. show car condition. Those cars always have buyers willing to pay above normal market as long as that price doesn't exceed same conditon, desirable options in newer model!

Approximately eleven months ago, I paid $14,995 for an immaculate '89 Z51 with 22K original miles. If you know the specs on an '89 Z51, you probably know why I was willing to pay that price. I had been looking for this car for seven years.
I will be discussing, with my insurance agent, sometime shortly after the first of the year, any constrants on yearly mileage I will have in order to insure the car with a declared value policy for which it is eligible after the car is officially 20 years old. This car is an immaculate unrestored original, and all accessories work.
I have put a little less than 6K miles on the car in the past eleven months, but less than 1K miles in the past six months.
C1 and C2 and C3 values also dropped at one time. The early C4 IMO will start to jump in value in the next two years. The 84 will turn 25 in several months and be given classic car status by DMV in most states and will not need emission testing in most states. Most of these cars will not be bought for performance reasons, but rather for restoration and nostalgia.
I already feel like my 96 is more nostalgia car than high performance car.
Mine is a joy to drive and makes me happy.. There were only 147 made like it. I don't really care about it's value as I plan to leave it to my Grandson.
