high low headlight switch
I need to replace my high low beam switch on my 1991 Corvette. It started not allowing me to switch from high to low beam and them the headlights went out completely. How do I replace the switch?

The switch you speak of is mounted to the steering column about half way down. It's operated by a metal rod. You'll have to take the carpeted hush panel under the steering wheel off and also the metal crush panel undet that to get to it

Hey thanks for the info. I was not able to get all the bolts off the crush panel but was able to get under there and find the old switch and connected the new one and the lights came on. I could not get to the bolts on the old one so I left it on until I can get someone who has better tools to do the job. The lower bolt on the crush pannel next to the trans tunnel was stuck and would not move. But the lights work and I will find someone to finish the job. I just fell good that I diagnosed the problem correctly. Who would have thought that the light switch was so machanical!! The rod down the stearing shaft was a surprise. Thanks for the good instructions. If you are ever in Hawaii look us up.
