Carfax Request
I have some time to restore a car and am looking at a 76 L-48 but could
use a Carfax to help me make a decision.

ain't gonna happen... carfax goes back to 1981, when the vin numbers changed to the current standard...
sorry... you have to research this one the old fashioned way... go to dmv with the vin, and ask if they can confirm mileage histroy, but I doubt it... that data was not computerized way back then...

Thanks for the infor. I didn't know the limitations for Carfax.
The car (?)28,199 miles, and looks like it was driven hard for a lot of miles, and It was left outside
to sit in the rain. It smells like mold and mildew on the inside.
I'll take your advice and see what I can find out with a little leg work.
