Default Rear Deck Trim Install

Can anyone tell me how to get the inside rear deck trim off of the rod assembly for the rear hatch?

Assuming you are really talking about the REAR deck assembly it´s as easy as removing a few + screws and just pull off the plastic handle for the roof locking mechanism. All done in under 1 minute if your fast.

Then if it´s the side trim you´re talking about, then you have to remove the lower glass hatch support mount.
I´m in the same process, but haven´t gotten that far yet. I have read that they can be a PITA. When you do this, make sure you make an extra hatch support, out of wood or something, and make sure you can secure it to the hatch-lock-ring or whatever you wanna call it.
You are either working on your weatherstrips or antenna, right?

I had some cracked rear deck trim and I am replaceing all three pieces. I was wondering if I needed to take the rod assembly off at the bottom. Thanks

The should be a clip at the ball/socket. I can't remember if it is push or pull.
You will also need to remove the courtesy light in halo panel(to remove hidden screw) and the screws in lower part of halo(so you can manipulate the side trim into postion)

I got the clip for the lights on the ball/socket is there something else? Do you know how to disconnect the rod assembly? Do you unscrew the ball/socket at the bottom? And I took the halo panel off but do not see the hidden screws?

The only hidden screw is the one behind the light in halo panel.
The strut can stay attached to the glass, but you have to remove the strut from the ball stud exiting side trim. The ball stud can stay.
The halo panel can stay, it just helps to manipulate the side trim into position, if the lower halo panel screws are removed.
